How Unison handles your data

Last updated · October 5, 2026

The short version: people tell Unison things they won't say in a meeting, so we collect as little as possible. Today, the only thing we hold is your email if you join the waitlist.

Where Unison is today

Unison is pre-launch. This website and its waitlist are live; the Slack app is in development. We'll update this page before the app is available, and we'll email everyone on the waitlist when it changes.

This website and the waitlist

  • If you join the waitlist, we store your email and, if you give it, your company name.
  • We use it only to tell you about Unison: early access, launch, and changes to this page.
  • We don't sell it or share it with advertisers.
  • The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (like IP addresses) to serve and protect the site.
  • We don't use advertising trackers.
  • Want it deleted? Email [email protected] and we'll remove it.

How the Unison Slack app is being built

These are the commitments we're designing the app around:

  • Your words stay in your private round. Only a one-line constraint you approve is shared with anyone else.
  • Decisions live in your Slack. Unison is built to keep its working state and Decision Receipts inside your workspace, not in a database of ours.
  • No training on your data. We don't use your Slack data to train AI models.
  • We'll name our AI provider. Unison uses a third-party AI model to run conversations. We'll say which one, here and in our Slack listing.
  • Unison never decides. A named person in your team always makes the final call.
  • Unison Private lets larger teams run Unison on their own cloud account with their own AI key, so the data never passes through us.
